2014 Art Entrepreneurship training for students and artists alike is set to
take place from Oct. 20- 24, at the new Creative Arts Complex, beside the
Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.

Yemisi Adedoyin Art Foundation(OYASAF)will emphasize the development of skills
in various art specialisations like Ceramics, Bead and Wire works, Photography,
Drawing and Silk painting.
of the processes to be taught include craft procedures that can be translated
into critical artistic statements for the future .This is to enable
participants produce affordable, self-able and market-driven art.
The training sessions will be handled by Ato Arinze and Ojetunde Oluseyi
(Ceramics) Ayodeji Adewunmi (Experimental Art forms, i.e. Waste recycling) Boye
Ola and Ariyo Oguntimehin (Photography) Temilola Marindotin and Adedamola
Runsewe (Bead and wire works), Sola Ogunfunwa (Drawing and Silk Painting) and a
few other professional artists will be directing each workshop area.
Prospective participants are expected to apply, indicating their area of
interest, their email address, web site (if any) telephone contact, three
images of recent works or links to websites containing their works and a recent
one-page resume, sent to unilagoyasaf2013@gmail.com latest by Sept. 30, 2014.

Successful candidates will be notified by Oct. 7, 2014. (note that each image
should not exceed 500 KB and must be saved in jpeg format, any anomaly may
disqualify your application).

While
participation is free; including all art supplies and work spaces, participants
will have to take care of their accommodation, feeding and transportation
expenses to the workshop venue.
Certificate of Participation will be
given to all participants, and prizes will be awarded for the best work in each
category.
