Coordinator of the annual competition, Ms Eucharia Okoli, said it is open
to every member of the public irrespective of age, sex, vocation or residence.

She said entries for this year’s competition opened on Monday October 27, and
would close on Friday November 28, 2014, while prizes would be presented to
winners on Friday December 16, 2014, in Apapa, Lagos.

“A total cash prize of N250, 000 cash will be given out to winners as we
have consistently done over the past eight years. The best essay writer will
smile home with N100, 000 while the rest will go to other winners as will be
announced during the prize presentation ceremony,” she said.
