union, Mr Tony Nted, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of

established in 1982 at Onne Port Complex and the company has since become a
major participant in the development of the Oil and Gas Free Zone.

Nted said the commendation was an
appreciation of the fact that the management of Intels deemed it fit to
consider its workers’ well-being.

He said that it was not enough for

but these should be demonstrated as Intels had shown.

Nted urged other terminal operators
to emulate Intels, adding that a decent work environment showed how a company
valued its workforce.

He said that Intels had shown
commitment to its work environment with proper management of the quay aprons
and ensuring thorough clean-up.

workers rarely fell ill when working in a conducive environment, “besides
being motivated on the job’’.
