The talks on

Speaking,
Edike recalled that existing synergy and support from the Army and other sister
agencies to the Customs Service at the border areas of Saki and Iseyin in Oyo
State, had been commendable.
He said that the strength in the
collaboration was to ensure protection against smuggling in of materials
inimical to the nation’s economy, as well as those capable of compromising the
nation’s security.

He also encouraged
the Army to always call immediate attention whenever they had any consignment
for clearance, in order to avoid delays of such sensitive consignment usually
meant for their operations.

The GOC
appreciated the ACG and his officers for visiting and assured that the Army
would continue to support collaborative efforts with other agencies of
government as the NCS, to always uphold the nation’s security.

Airforce Camp, Victoria Island, Lagos, where Air Commodore Garuba Yusuf pledged
continued support for national interest.
