The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) is mourning the sudden death of its official Photographer Paul Erakhifu, who is popularly known as ‘Texas.’
General Manager Corporate Affairs of the NPA, Ikechukwu Onyemekara, confirmed that the sad incident, occurred on the national labour day, Friday, 1 May.
Sources close to the NPA said Erakhifu slumped and died after being part of an official meeting and excursion in Lagos.
Texas is known for his friendly mien in the organisation and to maritime journalists who have known him for years.
His passage is seen as a very big loss to his family, the NPA, and to other industry stakeholders.
