The Nigerian Ports Consultative Council (NPCC) has confirmed that the Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), H.E. Wamkele Keabetswe Mene, will deliver the keynote address of its Second Quarterly Meeting holding on Thursday, 17 September 2026, at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Lagos.
In earlier reports, Chairman of the NPCC, Mr. Bolaji Sunmola, disclosed that the event themed ”Simplifying Cross Border Trade and Enhancing Ease of Doing Business at Our Ports,” would convene key stakeholders across government, regulatory agencies, port operators, logistics providers, and the private sector to deliberate on practical strategies for enhancing trade facilitation, reducing bottlenecks, and improving competitiveness within cross-border operations.
At the core of the discussions is the importance of building the trade muscles of the nation’s ports in service delivery to boost Nigeria’s contributions to the growth of the AfCFTA.
