The Nigerian Association of Master Mariners (NAMM) has expressed its support for the honorable minister of marine and blue economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, toward the implementation of the national policy to support development of the industry.
President of NAMM, Captain Tajudeed Alao, made this known after the minister’s meeting with industry stakeholders on 3 July 2025.
“The NAMM wholeheartedly supported the Hon Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and declared its readiness to partner with other sincere stakeholders towards the successful implementation of the national policy on the sector,” Captain Alao said.
The engagement, convened under the theme “Strengthening Collaboration for Effective Implementation of the National Policy on Marine and Blue Economy,” brought together key actors across government, industry, academia, and civil society in a bid to forge a unified, action-oriented strategy for the marine sector’s transformation.
Delivering the keynote address, Oyetola emphasised that the creation of the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy represents one of the boldest and most forward-thinking reforms under the present administration.
