On this World Environment Day, I urge you to play your part. It should be a role play by each person.
Interestingly, the 2023 and 2025 themes remain the same “Beat Plastic Pollution.’ This is simply charging people around the world to adopt beahavioural change messages by their actions.

I have long adopted my desired change by having my carrier bag. I use it for grocery shopping and every other item I need to carry. This water bottle is my third in almost four years. Yes! I take it everywhere for water, so I avoid table water in plastic bottle. I simply wash it thoroughly and use it over again.
The photograph of the entangled sea turtle is part of the environmental conservation work by Raynus Henry Ebiegberi, who carries out this work at #SafeEarthFoundation in Akassa, Bayelsa State.

In 2020 and 2023, my organisation did well to engage with students at the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, to create awareness about the importance of avoiding marine plastic pollution for the health of the seas.
You can play your role to keep our seas healthy – supporting #oceanhealth. It will certainly help the #fisherfolks in their daily endeavours, fishing. It could mean less stress for more catch.
