Comrade Adeyanju elected Vice President ITF Global

The President-General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN),Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, who is also the Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has been elected as Vice President of the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) Global; Executive Board Member, ITF Global and Chairman, ITF Africa during its Regional Conference which held in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire from 5 – 7  March, 2024.

A statement by the Head of Media at the MWUN, Comrade John-Kennedy Ikemefuna, said it became important to correct a previous media report that Comrade Adeyanju was elected and announced in the Abidjan Regional Conference as Vice President, Africa; Chairman, West Africa and Executive Board Member of International Transport Workers Federation (ITF).

Prior to Prince Adeyanju’s promotion to these positions in the International Transport Workers Federation, he was the Chairman, Seafarers and Dockers Sessions, ITF London, and Member Fair Practices Committee (FPC).

Prince Adeyanju’s sterling qualities of leadership and dynamic style of relationship with employers and employees in the labour sector, particularly in the maritime industry cannot be overemphasized.
