28 ships expected at Lagos ports with foods, petroleum products

 Twenty-eight ships laden with various cargoes are expected at
the Lagos ports from Oct. 29 to Nov. 14, the Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA) said
on Thursday in Lagos.

The
NPA disclosed this in its daily publication, the ‘Shipping Position’ made available to newsmen in Lagos.

According
to the NPA, 11 of the expected ships would arrive at the ports with containers,
while general cargoes will be brought in eight other ships.

Foods
including rice in bags, bulk salt, bulk sugar and buckwheat are to arrive in
seven ships, which petrol and base oil will come in the remaining two ships,
the NPA said.

Meanwhile, 12 ships laden with petroleum
products, general cargoes and containers arrived at the Lagos ports and were
waiting to berth.
