The
2015 edition of the annual Nigeria Maritime Expo (NIMAREX) has been rescheduled
from its initial March 29 to April 1, to
now hold from April 27 to April 29.

The
Planning Committee in a statement said it arrived at the new date after
deliberations at a meeting with key members in attendance.
Chairman
of the Planing Committee, Mr Ayorinde Adedoyin, gave the assurance that plans
for the exhibition remained at top gear, the statement read.
According
to Ayorinde, the shift in the nation’s general election from February to March
necessitated the shift in date for Nigeria’s biggest maritime exhibition.

“This
shift is necessitated by the shift in the date for the general elections in
Nigeria,” he said.
Ayorinde
noted that the shift in date for NIMAREX 2015 would allow the Planning
Committee perfect all logistics arrangements to give prospective participants
every support they would need for the period.
“The
time will enable the committee perfect all logistics arrangements for those
being expected,” he said.
The
Chairman also disclosed that several business concerns; local and international
companies, had indicated their interests to attend the three-day event.
He
reiterated that “trade and economic regeneration” remained the focus
for NIMAREX 2015.
