Ndi-Igbo in USA support Ekweremadu

 Ndi-Igbo, under the auspices of Pan Ndi-Igbo
Foundation(PNF USA), Support Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
Rising from a special emergency meeting of the executive council, Ndi-Igbo in
the United States under the aegis of Pan Ndi-Igbo Foundation USA, Inc. (PNF
USA) unequivocally and strongly support Senator Ike Ekweremadu, a knowledgeable
and educated legislator for all his political endeavors, particularly his
reelection and his leadership election in the Senate.

Senator Ike
Ekweremadu is the only performing legislator from his zone in the National
Assembly. He has sponsored and shepherded bills that became law and his antecedents
show that he is a true Nigerian of Igbo ethnic decent.

Though we have no doubt that Sen. Ike Ekweremadu will be reelected to continue
his commendable services to the people of Nigeria, we want him to be elevated
in the Senate.
We are proud of Ike Ekweremadu, a formidable leader, and a flawless and
consummate legislator who knows how to work well with people from a diverse
background to accomplish our country’s work. Ekweremadu is a consensus builder
whose legislative skills and knowledge are worthy of emulation.

Ekweremadu has used his position to benefit the masses. He has given
scholarships to many people and has sponsored several human-oriented projects
in the zone.

Ekweremadu
has attracted federal projects to the Southeast. Ekweremadu has been
instrumental in upgrading Enugu Airport to an international standard; he played
a significant role to the ongoing construction of the second Niger Bridge.

Some of his other
accomplishments include numerous roads and development projects in and around
Awgu, Oji-River, Ezeagu, Aninri  Ekweremadu deserves our adulation.

 Ekweremadu is an advocate for education in
every facet of the country. He has done amiable job in the area of education.
Commenting as the Chairman of the Governing Council of the National Institute
for Legislative Studies, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, said, “The legislators cannot
afford to fall short of being worthy of their mandates and the trust reposed in
them and it is in light of their great responsibility that the National
Institute for Legislative Studies was established with the mandate of
supporting and strengthening the legislature in pursuit of the ideals of democracy
through research, training, legislative support, advocacy and networking.”

He also said that the partnership between NILS and
University of Benin is a testament of the Institute’s achievements and growing
relevance.

A political pressure group, the Pan Ndi-Igbo Foundation is a national organization
with headquarters in Dallas, Texas, United States. PNF USA, Incorporated,
founded 14 years ago, is a platform for the articulation, development, promotion,
and protection of the common/political interests of Ndi-Igbo in particular and Nigeria
in general around the world.
