Her Majesty Ship TRENT arrives in Lagos Port

The Nigerian Navy is currently rendering cooperation to Her Majesty Ship TRENT that arrived in Lagos Port on 23 October 2021.

Edward Yeibo, the Command Information Officer, Western Naval Command, said in a statement on Saturday, that the Ship would be in Nigeria from 23-30 October 2021.

According to the statement, “the visit of Her Majesty Ship TRENT is aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

“As part of the activities lined up for the visit, Her Majesty Ship TRENT would undertake joint training exercises with the Nigerian Navy counterparts and also strengthen ties to develop plans for future operations in the Gulf of Guinea.”

It also disclosed that the ship’s company would embark on community relations activities in Lagos.

During the scheduled period, Nigerian Navy Ships and HMS TRENT would partake in the French-led multinational sea exercise tagged Exercise GRAND AFRICAN NEMO, the statement added.
