The APM Terminals Apapa made the
announcement on Monday saying it was in effort to check the congestion in Apapa
port, as it disclosed that the affected containers at the port were 1,290.

March 16, any container not cleared would have to pay full charges.

In a notice to importers, the
terminal operator said the measure was in support of the efforts of the
Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) to decongest the port to enable the discharge of
new containers.

urgently request the importers of below listed 1290 containers that have been
in the terminal for 365 days to 4000 days, to clear them.
