says the trade exhibition will serve as veritable platform to provide
a competitive edge to various businesses in the industry.
Dr Omogbai Omo-Eboh, Head of the Intellectual Group of the committee, disclosed
this in an interview on Tuesday in Lagos.
He said that strong competition for businesses to showcase their strength had
made it more compelling to embrace platforms such as NIMAREX to get the desired
value.
“Don’t forget that the world has become extremely competitive, so it is always
important that you have a platform to showcase your product.
“Especially products that are specifically designed for a particular industry,
exactly what the Nigeria Maritime Expo and Conference is offering in terms of
products, goods, services for the maritime industry.
“Not just in Nigeria, in West Africa and in Africa generally.
“The key thing is that it’s provided a very useful and veritably platform for
manufacturers and suppliers of goods and services to come in and exhibit their
product.
“And for those who are in need of those goods and services to engage them in
terms of orders or in terms of letting them know the specific things they want
from them.
“And in that way, it’s grown businesses, not just overseas businesses, but
also Nigerian businesses,’’ he said
Omo-Eboh said that since trade exhibitions principally helped to grow, sustain
and diversify an economy, they also served as viable platform where business
owners sought the best business needs.
He stressed that NIMAREX 2015 will specifically promote businesses for their
value.
