Maritime Academy of Nigeria commiserates with family of late former sole administrator
The Management of the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron, Akwa Ibom, has commiserated with the family of its former Sole Administrator, Engr. Olu Akinsoji, who passed away recently.
Rector of the Academy, Commodore Duja Effedua (Rtd), in a condolence letter he personally signed, expressed grief on behalf of the entire Academy Community over the loss and noted that until Engr. Akinsoji’s demise, he was a very dependable resource to the maritime industry and beyond.
He recalled the cherished moments with the deceased during his period as a member of the defunct MAN Interim Management Committee (IMC) and invaluable contributions made towards the development of the Academy during his tenure as the Administrator of the Academy.
“It is a testament, that we, as a community, stand united in grief yet cherishing the legacy he has left behind, from his days and times as the Academy’s Administrator and a member of the defunct MAN Interim Management Committee (IMC), he stated.”
The Rector therefore urged members of the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that his positive imprints would forever be cherished and appreciated.
Widow of the deceased, Mrs. Mobolaji Akinsoji, who was pleased to receive a delegation from the Academy in her Abeokuta home, thanked the Rector for commiserate with them during their period of grief.
She described her late husband as kind-hearted, hardworking, caring and disciplined man who was passionate about his profession.
Mrs. Akinsoji thanked God for her late husband’s life. She also prayed that God grants the departed soul eternal rest.
