Methodist Church honors Bode Ojajuni, Mum at Igbotako
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Bode Ojajuni has been installed as the Baba Ijo (Church Father) of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Igbotako in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Ojajuni was honored as the church celebrated the 80th birthday of his mother, Chief Elizabeth Abosede Ojajuni.
Delivering a sermon titled ‘Co-labourer in the Vineyard of God’ at the event, the Archbishop/Bishop of Igbobini, Most Rev. Dr. O.O.C Fafeyiwa enjoined the celebrants to be humble and not see themselves as people who have arrived.
He commended them on their commitments to the church and urged them not to join people who would make the work of God retrogress.
Chief Elizabeth Ojajuni cut her birthday cake amid cheers from the church congregation, traditional rulers, and her children.
Mrs Florence Ogunyamoju was also honored as Asiwaju Obinrin Ijo (Women Leader) and her husband as Baba Ewe (Father of the Youths).
HRM Oba Michael Obatuga Adetoye, the Jegun of Idepe-Okitipupa described Ojajuni and his mother as personalities who are worthy of emulation.
