School of Eloquence hosts Abuja Public Speaking Holiday Class for secondary school students
School of Eloquence, Nigeria’s foremost public speaking training centre, has opened a catch-them- young class for secondary school students on holiday in Abuja.
The three-day intensive programme which begins on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, is designed to help youngsters build confidence, overcome stage fright and communicate more flawlessly.
It will be held at the Abuja Centre of the School of Eloquence located in the Central Business District of the FCT from August 22 to 24, 2023. This is coming after an earlier edition held in Lagos.
In a statement, Mrs. Patience Essien, Registrar of the School of Eloquence, said the programme tagged Abuja Summer School of Eloquence – The Public Speaking Bootcamp / Coaching would be open to students between ages 11 and 19.
The programme, according to her, would feature foundational theories in communication with hands-on, live practical sessions for participants. Areas such as the meaning and importance of public speaking to students’ future careers and mastering confident delivery will be covered during the 3-day training.
Upon completion, participants will be given more benefits of admittance into the junior eloquence club, a virtual platform on WhatsApp or Telegram where their practical skills would be further sharpened.
The School of Eloquence has an assemblage of seasoned public speaking professionals in its faculty that have impacted Nigeria’s public and private sectors. It has also assisted leaders in communicating effectively with the ability to process feedback for appropriate responses.
Established in 2006 in Lagos, the school has trained over 4000 persons and has, over the years, sustained a growing Eloquence Club where its past students meet physically and virtually to share ideas, examine case studies, and access day-to-day experiences to enhance their communication skills.
