Professionalism will be my watchword –Comptroller Auwal Mohammed

The new Customs Area Controller (CAC) at Apapa Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Auwal Mohammed, will maintain professionalism as watchword in carrying out his responsibilities as head of the Command.

The CAC stated this on Friday during a brief ceremony where the out-going CAC, now promoted to Acting Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs (ACG) Malanta Yusuf, handed over to him.

ACG Yusuf sought the continued support of all key stakeholders on the line of duty, and charged the trading public on integrity through compliance with proper declaration, to ensure trade facilitation in the Command.

Speaking, Mohammed said that as a matter of his work ethic, he would sustain the mark of success already recorded in the Command and that doing so would mean being dutiful and professional on the job.

The new CAC expressed confidence of fitting into the existing work structure of the Command, which has been remarkable with it as the nation’s premiere and busiest port.

ACG Yusuf used the occasion to reward excellence by presenting awards to officers, among who was the Spokesman of the Command, Abubakar Usman.

He encouraged the officers to continue to be diligent.
