CIoTA holds annual National Transport Summit November
The Chartered Institute of Transport (CIoTA) would be holding its 2022 edition of the annual National Transport Summit from 29th November to 1st December, 2022.
The Summit themed “Transport Safety and Security Administrations in Nigeria” would take place at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, from 10.00am each day.
National Publicity Secretary of the Association, Mrs Chizoba Anyika, disclosed that the Hon. Minister of Transportation, Mu’Azu Jaji Sambo, would be attending the event as Special Guest of Honour, while President of the Association, Dr. Bashir Jamoh, who is also the Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency(NIMASA) would be the Chief Host.
Chairman Council for Registration of Transportant, Prof. Innocent Ogwude , would be the Keynote Speaker, and the event would be chaired by Prince Julius Adelusi- Adeluyi.
Accordingly, the Anyika said that CIoTA would bring diverse industry experts who would be delivering papers on safety and security areas of the sector.
With safety and security at the core of this year’s programme, subthemes would include the following areas; Maritime Safety and Security in Nigeria, Safety and Security of Road Transportation in Nigeria, Strategic Issues in Transport Safety and Security in Nigeria, Safety and Security of Rail Transportation in Nigeria, and The Value of Life for The Evaluation of Safety and Security in Transportation.
