IWD: Orakwusi, Ezenwa to host 2022 MMS Amazons
The Chairperson, Nigerian Ship Owners Forum, Barr. Mrs. Margaret Orakwusi, and a former Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Mrs. Chinwe Ezenwa, will play hosts at the celebration of the 2022 MMS Sustainable Amazons, in Lagos, on 22nd of March.
As part of activities to mark the 2022 International Women’s Day (IWD), MMS Woman of Fortune Hall of Fame (WoFHoF) Initiative has selected some young and dynamic women to be celebrated as exemplary amazons.
It is also MMS Hall of Famers’ Day, meant to bring together all the distinguished women of substance who have been inducted into the MMS Woman of Fortune Hall of Fame over the years.
This is done in commemoration of the IWD but equally serves as a platform to review their mentorship and humanitarian commitments to the society while networking with their peers and younger generation of women.
The event themed; “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow”, is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022 by 2pm at Golden Gate Restaurant, Glover Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of African Marine Environment Sustainability Initiative (AFMESI), Dr. (Mrs.) Felicia Mogo will be the guest speaker at the event.
The celebrants include: the Managing Director of Multimix Academy, Mrs. Oluchi Okafor; Managing Partner of Hudson Gee Nigeria Limited, Barr. Gloria Kanabe; Lagos Area Manager, National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Engr. Sarat Braimah; Deputy Director, Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Mrs. Margaret Ogbonnah.
Others are: Zonal Public Relations Officer, Zone A Customs headquarters, Nkeiru Nwala; Business Development and Relationship Manager, Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN), Mary Esther Ezeadi; Assistant Director, Public Relations, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Shielibe Abe; Head of Corporate and Strategic Communications at the Lagos Ports Complex, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Arit Nwokedi and the Executive Secretary of MMS WoFHoF Initiative, Mrs. Ifeoma Iloh.
