Maritime LookBook: Fish, crabs plentiful in Opu-Okumbiri, Akassa Bayelsa

This edition of the Maritime LookBook captures the Shoreline traveler, Raynus Ebiegberi, who was in Opu-Okumbiri in Akassa Kingdom of Bayelsa State, a community he visits regularly on the job as a turtle conservationist.

Ebiegberi shares his joy with our team saying: “You will always find fish and plenty of extra-large crabs here.

“Although, there could be days of low catch, but this season is the period when the fishermen and women have their nets and baskets full- of course, full of fishes. And the women do well sorting them and getting your choice of fish cleaned and prepared for eating.”
