Jean Chiazor-Anishere among personalities honoured by Maritime Academy of Nigeria

The Continental President of Women in Maritime Africa(WIMAfrica), Mrs. Jean Chiazor-Anishere SAN, has been listed as one of the prominent Nigerians honoured by the maritime Academy of Nigeria(MAN) Oron Akwa Ibom.

The Academy had on Thursday released a list of personalities that some important buildings and roads in the Academy were named after.

Management of the Academy also informed that the honour was so given as a result of their contributions over time, to the training and development of the cadets.

Responding to the honour done her, Anishere expressed appreciation for the recognition of her humble contributions, while noting that this would challenge her to do more, particularly in support with securing job placements for cadets who have been remarkable.

Her words: “Wow! My goodness! It feels really good to be appropriated and I find this recognition so encouraging. It will surely spur me to do more for our cadets in terms of securing jobs for them and encouraging them to greater frontiers.

“I thank all those who nominated me for this huge recognition and I pledge to do more for our upcoming Institute at the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron.

“Donating my books “Essays in Admiralty” Vols 1, 2 and 3 to the Library of the Academy has been my joy, towards contributing to the knowledge of our young cadets.”
