Olubode Ojajuni, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), has been reappointed as the Chairman of the Lagos State Archery Association, effective March 11th 2021.
Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, reappointed Ojajuni alongside the Vice Chairman of the Association, Mr. Mike Egbayelo.
Sanwo-Olu had earlier in February dissolved the Boards of all sports associations in Lagos with a view to repositioning sports administration in the state for excellence.
The inauguration of the Board, which was done at the Molade Okoya Thomas Sports Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, was attended by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon Segun Dawodu.
He charged the new Board members to be alive to their responsibilities and dedicate themselves to the task of moving sports forward in the state having been carefully selected out of the teeming populace.
He enjoined them to reciprocate the Governor’s belief in them by going all out to see that the state lives up to its name as the Centre of Excellence.
Being the only two Board members reappointed, Ojajuni and Egbayelo were charged to use their experience and professionalism to take Archery to greater heights.
