The Nigerian Maritime Administration and
Safety Agency (NIMASA) on Tuesday appointed Engr. Emmanuel Ilori as Chairman of
the Implementation Committee for the proposed Nigerian Ship Registry
revitalisation.

was established by NIMASA to ensure the immediate and thorough implementation
of the recommendations offered by an earlier committee (the Report )to review the Ship
Registry for efficiency in its operations.

NIMASA said that the choice of Ilori as
chairman of the Implementation Committee is in recognition of the important
role he played in the work of the committee that reviewed the operations of the

While NIMASA promised to support the Committee to implement
the recommendations, Ilori also promised that the Committee would deliver its
