Spokesman of the Service, Mr. Joseph Attah,
told Newsmen in a statement on Thursday that the distribution of materials took
place from Tuesday, February 12th to Thursday, February 21, 2019.

Sisters of Mother Theresa, Babs el Salam Orphanage among others as beneficiaries of the Customs’ goodwill.

The Orphanages also got cooking oil and clothing
materials to care for over 4000 children put together.

Attah quoted Compt. Yakubu Salihu, who is the Chairman of the sub-committee concerned with distributing the materials, as saying that “ the team was put together by the Comptroller General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (rtd) to
implement the Presidential directive to the Service to extend distribution of these
essential items to less privilege and vulnerable Nigerians.”

The Customs Spokesman also said that the relief materials distribution exercise would cover the four zones of the Service and
