Police, Delta Command, has
apprehended three suspects attempting to steal an electricity transformer
belonging to the former Niger Delta Warlord, Mr Government Ekpemupolo aka
Tompolo.

According to
a police source, the suspects were nabbed at about 7:00 pm by the
operatives of the (A Division) Warri on Sunday .

They were
alleged to have been found with the transformer being one of the
property confiscated by the Federal Government from Tompolo.

It was
gathered that the suspects: Okugbe Lucky, Chime Chukwuka and Usman Shaibu
allegedly loaded the transformer into a Mercedez Benz Self-loader.

The car with
Registration Number: (Edo) XE 763 BEN was intercepted while leaving the
premises of the property in a jetty located closed to the Chevron Clinic in
Edjeba, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta state.

Speaking on
the development, Media Consultant to Tompolo, Mr Paul Bebenimibo, said that
property worth billions of Naira had been stolen from the
yard since it was taken over by the federal government years ago.
