maritime industry and does not intend to abdicate that responsibility.

falsehood being peddled around that MARAN is part of the merger arrangement
with another group.

The executive council of MARAN therefore unequivocally
denounces and dissociates the association from any merger arrangement as the
reports on social media to that effect was mere rumour which emanated from the
fertile imagination of its sponsors who are desperate to use the credible name
and legacy, which MARAN has garnered over the years through robust journalism,
to give credibility to the said group.
