At its Women Empowerment Project Scheme Centre in Onne,
no fewer than 200 community women are trained for the nine-month skill
acquisition in tailoring.

Centre supervisor, Mrs Dorcas Ekong, says “the programme
is practical and very detailed, so, the women get quite good at the sewing
skills within four months and are able to make standard clothing for the rest
of the training programme.

“Besides the coveralls we produce, we use up all waste materials

On scholarship scheme, the company takes in 50 graduates
on its graduate trainee programme yearly, besides spending N45 million on

On the community front, Ogu in Rivers State is
beneficiary of a modern palace for its monarch, there is a community sports
centre and a network of road within the town.

The community also enjoys a cottage mobile clinic for
primary health-care services provided free to the people of Ogu and another
neighbouring community.

The people also have the privilege of getting a modern
market for trading activities, while the larger Eleme town has an ultra-modern

projects as agreed in joint sessions with the communities, in 18 communities in
