Like the hundreds of art lovers who visited the exhibition Indigo Reimagined, the art historian who put the collection together, Peju Layiwola, didn’t seem to have had enough of her love for the works. But, the show must come to a close, as it did on July 30, with a brief but beautiful performance and display of the collection of stencils created through a very delicate process for the making of one of Nigeria’s cultural and well-appreciated cloth, the Adire.
