The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) under the leadership of Prince Adewale Adeyanju, fnli, on behalf of his executives and members felicitates Chief Adebayo Sarumi on his 80th birthday anniversary on 6 July.
The much-respected former Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Managing Director is described by the President -General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria as detribalised and a seasoned Maritime Administrator of repute, who also managed the administration of the NPA and the Nigerian Shippers Council simultaneously during his hey days in the public sector.
Prince Adeyanju also said that the revered Chief Sarumi has great respect for traditions, hence, he was so decorated in the South-West and South-South parts of Nigeria respectively, given his commitment and dedication towards the development of the country’s economy through the Maritime sector, where he proved his mettle as the doyen of the Maritime Industry until his retirement from service.
Prince Adeyanju and his entire Union executives are wishing Chief Sarumi a memorable and happy birthday and pray that the Almighty God grants him good health, prosperity defined in longevity as he gracefully progresses in life.
